Contact details
What information we collect, when, use, and why
We collect or use the following information to provide services and goods, including delivery:
- Names and contact details
We collect or use the following information for service updates:
- Names and contact details
Booking a ticket. When you buy a ticket we collect your name, email address, and how many seats you booked. This is handled by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your card details ourselves. We use your name and email to confirm your booking, check you in on the door list, and contact you if a show changes or is cancelled. This is necessary to fulfil your booking (a contract), so it doesn’t rely on your consent, and you can’t opt out of it while a booking is active.
Emails about shows you’ve booked. We only email you about shows you have booked, such as your confirmation and any changes or cancellations. We don’t send marketing emails to ticket buyers.
Newsletter sign-up. If you sign up separately for our newsletter, your email address is sent directly to beehiiv, our newsletter platform, and is never combined with your booking history. Buying a ticket does not sign you up to this — the two lists are entirely separate.
The door list. On the night, venue staff use a list of names, emails, and seat counts to check people in. This is generated on Stripe on demand and is not stored anywhere after check-in is complete for all audience members.
Lawful bases and data protection rights
Under UK data protection law, we must have a “lawful basis” for collecting and using your personal information. There is a list of possible lawful bases in the UK GDPR. You can find out more about lawful bases on the ICO’s website.
Which lawful basis we rely on may affect your data protection rights which are set out in brief below. You can find out more about your data protection rights and the exemptions which may apply on the ICO’s website:
- Your right of access — You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. You can request other information such as details about where we get personal information from and who we share personal information with. There are some exemptions which means you may not receive all the information you ask for. Read more about the right of access.
- Your right to rectification — You have the right to ask us to correct or delete personal information you think is inaccurate or incomplete. Read more about the right to rectification.
- Your right to erasure — You have the right to ask us to delete your personal information. Read more about the right to erasure.
- Your right to restriction of processing — You have the right to ask us to limit how we can use your personal information. Read more about the right to restriction of processing.
- Your right to object to processing — You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Read more about the right to object to processing.
- Your right to data portability — You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you. Read more about the right to data portability.
- Your right to withdraw consent — When we use consent as our lawful basis you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Read more about the right to withdraw consent.
If you make a request, we must respond without undue delay, and in any event within one month.
To make a data protection rights request, please contact us using the contact details at the top of this privacy notice.
Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information to provide services and goods are:
- Contract — we have to collect or use the information to enter into or carry out a contract with you. All of your data protection rights may apply except the right to object.
Our lawful basis for collecting or using personal information for our newsletter, which you sign up to separately, is:
- Consent — we have your permission after we provided you with all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
Where we get personal information from

Who we share information with
Data processors
Stripe
This data processor does the following activities for us: Stripe processes customer payments and stores customer booking records. We never see or store card details ourselves.
Resend
This data processor does the following activities for us: Resend sends booking confirmations, and other emails about shows you’ve booked, on our behalf.
Google (Google Sheets)
This data processor does the following activities for us: Google Sheets holds our show listings, and the names, emails and seat counts of anyone we give a complimentary ticket to. It does not hold the details of people who buy tickets.
Beehiiv
This data processor does the following activities for us: Beehiiv holds newsletter subscriber emails, for people who sign up separately.
We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep information
Booking records are stored in Stripe for as long as Stripe’s own retention rules require (including the time needed to meet our tax and accounting obligations) — we don’t keep a separate copy.
Door lists are generated fresh from Stripe each time and are not stored anywhere afterwards. They are destroyed after audience check-in is concluded.
Newsletter subscribers are held by beehiiv until they unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie it sets is a login session for venue staff on the password-protected door page, which is strictly necessary for that page to work and holds no personal data itself.
